Scott C. Parrish, MD, FACCP, FACP, DAABIP
Dr. Parrish is a native of Wisconsin and grew up in the town of Delafield outside of Milwaukee. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. He then attended the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health on the Navy’s Health Professional Scholarship Program. While in medical school he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. After receiving his medical degree he entered active duty military service with the United States Navy and did his internship and residency in internal medicine at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He then completed his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the National Capital Consortium in Bethesda, Maryland. Following this he obtained additional training in interventional pulmonary medicine at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
He remained on staff at Walter Reed until 2016 when he was honorably discharged and joined Fox Valley Pulmonary Medicine in the Fox Cities, Wisconsin. While on active duty he served as the medical director of the ICU in the Role 3 trauma hospital in Kandahar, Afghanistan. He has been active in academic medicine and has presented abstracts and talks at various scientific meetings around the world. Dr. Parrish is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, and interventional pulmonary medicine. He has been elected a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and American College of Physicians as well as a Diplomat of the American Association of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology.
